Producers Month

October is Producers' Month in Lancashire, the time of year when all the crops will have been harvested and a wondrous variety of Lancashire produce will be available.

From the Ribble Valley to the Lune Valley, Blackpool to Blackburn, the Forest of Bowland to the City of Preston, the variety and diversity of the local food has to be sampled to be believed! Lancashire is renowned for its cheeses, Morecambe Bay shrimps and its most well-known dish, Lancashire Hotpot, but there is so much more to the county's local distinctiveness, such as locally brewed beer, farm made ice cream, award-winning black pudding and even Lancashire reared ostrich meat.

Producers' Month offers you the perfect opportunity to experience Lancashire's array of fresh, locally sourced food in a number of different ways.
