Food and Drink > Tasty Events > Lancashire Hot Shots > Ladies Night at Hot Shots introduces Chloe Coverley of MJ's Restaurant, Darwen
As the Lancashire Hot Shot events increase in popularity we welcome our first female chef. Chloe Coverley is currently working at MJ's Restaurant in Darwen where she has been employed as a commis chef for the past eight months.
Having learned how to bake in her grandmothers kitchen in Darwen, Chloe was able to extend her knowledge of cooking through classes at Canon Slade High School, Bolton. With her passion firmly enflamed 19 year old Chloe went to Blackburn Catering College where she qualified in 2007 after completing her NVQ level 3.
Her favourite celebrity is none other than Gordon Ramsay. Says Chloe " I am amazed how he remains so passionate about everything to do with food. Despite being a very busy person he still personally assists in the development of chefs who work for him. I find him incredible!'
Chloe's menu is inspired by her love of 'simply cooked seasonal produce' which is partly why the restaurant has been awarded the Taste Lancashire Quality Assured grading but strangely doesn't include her favourite dish to cook - crème brulee.
Chloe will be cooking her menu priced at £15 per person on Wednesday 25th June.
