Food and Drink > The Leaping Fish
The Leaping Fish has seen many changes over the years, none moreso than the June 2006 refurbishment and rebranding.
An upmarket and sophisticated fish & chip shop with clean, contemporary lines and its own distinct image.
Established originally in 1982, the Leaping Fish was run by the current owner’s father-in-law before being sold and renamed the Carleton Leaping Fish in 1992. Since 1997, it’s been back under family ownership.
All the fish used is caught in sustainable waters with the Jumbo Fish option a popular choice. There is also a range of speciality fishcakes, beefburgers made by a local butcher and a choice of weekday specials.
