Welcome to Neppy Meadow Cottage, situated on the edge of the West Pennine Moors in the picturesque village of Wheelton. Neppy Meadow Cottage is a renovated weaver’s cottage dating back to the early 1800’s.

The sympathetic restoration of the building has created a unique holiday cottage of the highest standard, combining stylish modern facilities with many character features from the original building. It will comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

If you're coming to the area for business, for a holiday, or simply to catch up with family and friends, Neppy Meadow Cottage offers a truly warm welcome and an opportunity to rest, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

There is a wide range of hostelries and an award winning restaurant within walking distance of the cottage and although nestling in the countryside, the proximity of the M61 gives easy access to the cities of Manchester and Liverpool, the coast and also the Lake District – all less than an hours drive.

The Family History Library:

If you are interested in tracking down your family history, there is a centre situated less than 10 minute drive from the cottage, at The Temple of Latter Day Saints, Chorley. This is connected to the world's largest genealogy library which is in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Family History Library helps people search for records of their ancestors. These records include vital, census, land, probate, immigration, and church records, and many other records of genealogical value.

Everyone is welcome to use a Family History Centre. You do not need to be a member of the LDS faith.
