Lancashire offers many diverse film locations for film makers to choose from.

Places like Downham village are a film maker's dream. It has no TV aerials, no intrusive overhead cables, no double yellow lines, but lots of photogenic ducks! The Assheton family have been lords of the manor since 1558 and they still ensure that Downham retains an air of tranquility.
Please note that this list is by no means exhaustive, and concentrates on mainly feature films and dramas.
In addition to those listed, there have also been many stills shoots, commercials, factual programmes, documentaries, entertainment programmes, short films, indents, trailers, pilot programmes and student films, all shot on location Lancashire.

To be seen on screen!Channel 4's Big Art project is the UK's biggest ever community-led public art commissioning scheme. Channel 4 received over 1400 nominations from which seven sites were selected across the UK, including Burnley.
The Burnley Big Art project is young-people led and will be broadcasted in 2008.
