Lancashire's Buzzing Nightlife

Over 40,000 students can't be wrong! In Lancashire's two university cities, Lancaster and Preston, nightlife is thriving. Preston enjoys on of the coolest club and cafe scenes whilst hidden away within historic buildings and narrow Georgian streets Lancaster's nightlife - unique cafe's, bars and restaurants are full of atmosphere.

Preston

Night life in Preston is rich and varied. The town boasts a delightful array of restaurants and café bars along with many different pubs to choose from. For the younger crowd Preston is also host to many nightclubs.

The Grey Friar is a JD Wetherspoons situated at the bottom of Friargate, which is a perfect stopping point on your way into town. It usually packed but it is excellent value for money. Across the ring-road are Mood and Bar Censsa, which both have modern interiors and play cheesy music. Mood also has a dancefloor and has lots of drinks offers.

Off Fishergate trendy bars such as Voodoo Lounge, Loft, Browns and Hush are great if you fancy dressing up smart and fancy something a bit more 'up market'.

Lancaster

The nightlife in Lancaster can be as exciting as you want it to be. The city offers a diverse nightlife scene that ca be enjoyed by all persons.

Depending on what you are looking for, there are many places you can go out to at night. For those who like to party, you'll be glad to know that most clubs are open every night. Some of the clubs and bars include The Sugarhouse, Revolution, Liquid, Toast, the Lounge and Bentleys.

Lancaster has a great selection of traditional pubs. There are plenty to choose from, as you would expect from a City with a large resident student population. If you are not to keen on dancing and just want to spend some time with your mates, there are a number of pubs to choose from where you can do just that.

Blackburn

When the sun goes down, Blackburn and Darwen come to life as the spotlight turns to the many entertainment and theatre venues in the area.

Blackburn's nightlife is legendary across Lancashire and the buzzing pub and club scene attracts visitors and coach parties from far and wide. A flourishing live music scene exists at numerous town centre bars and the town centre is not short of bars and night clubs for the party goers and night owls!

Burnley

At night Burnley comes alive with a great choice of things to do, places to go to and people to see. You can try out one of the trendy pubs or bars; see the latest movie; try your hand at Ten Pin Bowling; have a great meal out or go to the theatre.

Cool and funky, fun and friendly, vibrant and varied are just a few words to describe Burnley's pub and club circuit. With upwards of 30 pubs and bars in the town centre you will be spoilt for choice!

By night the lively bars and clubs attract an evening crowd of trendy new drinkers, residents and workers all looking to relax and enjoy themselves in the modern pub chains such as Big Window, Orange House, JD Wetherspoons, Walkabout, Paradise Island, Pharoah's, Isa Bar and Yates Wine Lodge.
