Expressive Landscape Drawing with Graham Lowe
If your drawing style is tight and illustrative and you would like to create loose and expressive landscape drawings but don't know where to start then come along and learn.

You will be working with Graham Lowe, a working artist who has over 20 years experience in teaching art in adult education. The workshop is open to anyone from total beginners to the more experienced artist. You will be shown how to use a range of expressive drawing techniques following a step by step demonstration.

You will then have the opportunity to create your own unique expressive landscape. Graham will guide the group through each stage and there will be lots of one to one help.

You require minimum equipment and no prior knowledge. Graham will demonstrate a range of basic drawing strategies and techniques to create the above drawing. You will then be helped and encouraged to create your own landscape drawings.

The morning will be spent learning techniques following a step by step demonstration. Then in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to create your own landscape drawing working from a wide range of reference.

All you will need is: An A3 cartridge paper sketch pad or lose sheets, a few sticks of willow charcoal, a stick of compressed charcoal, a white soft pastel or chalk (available from any art shop), an eraser, masking tape, newspaper to cover the table and kitchen roll.

Tickets are £23 including tea/coffee and to book a place you can visit our tills department in store or call on 01995 642980.
