Visitlancashire.com receives over 9.7 million page views every year so to ensure that our visitors find quality information, please make sure you complete all of the fields below. You need to make sure your event has a full and inspirational description as well as a quality image to ensure your event is promoted to its full potential.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR EVENT SUBMISSION CONFORMS TO THE CRITERIA BELOW. EVENTS NOT CONFORMING TO THIS WILL BE REJECTED. CLICK 'READ MORE' TO VIEW THE CRITERIA. EVENT IMAGES MUST BE LANDSCAPE (SIZED AT LEAST 1220x713PX). YOUR EVENT MAY NOT BE ADDED TO THE SITE IF A PORTRAIT IMAGE IS SUBMITTED.
We aim to add your events as quickly as possible however at busy times they can take up to 5 working days to show on visitlancashire.com. If you require your event to be added urgently, please fill in and submit the below form, and then email online@marketinglancashire.com indicating the event and the date you require the event to be listed.
The information you send through will checked by Marketing Lancashire before it is added to visitlancashire.com. Your event may also be added to your local district's tourism website.
All events submitted are approved at the discretion of Visit Lancashire. Submission of an event does not guarantee it will be listed and if an event is not sufficiently 'tourism' related, it may not be approved.
All descriptions must be written in third person and no longer than 300 words. Suitable events with descriptions not in third person will either be rejected or edited.
TYPE OF EVENTS THAT WILL NOT BE INCLUDED
• Training, IT workshops, literacy classes, health & safety workshops, seminars, specialist classes
• Community targeted activities e.g. quiz nights, dining out events, car boot sales, school fetes, coffee mornings, badminton, beauty product events, yoga, public swimming and zumba classes, cinema listings or similar.
• Events which are a permanent fixture within a venue, i.e. permanent exhibitions.
• Charity fundraisers and sponsored runs/activities
What is the photo quality criteria?
• Landscape images only
• Images must be bright and well-lit
• No mobile phone photos or photographs of event posters
• Images must be in sharp focus
• Jpeg format only
• Minimum size 1220x713 pixels
If the above quality guidelines are followed, our new photo database will accept the images. But if they do not they will be rejected and your event will not be published. Our website database doesn’t enable us to publish lower resolution images.
Please also note:

If we feel your event is not 'tourism' relevant, it will be declined.

Events submitted in capital letters will be declined.

Events with no images will be declined.
*When uploading an image please make sure it is a Jpeg and no bigger than 8 MB.
If the image you submit is larger than this you will receive an ERROR MESSAGE after selecting 'SUBMIT' and your event will NOT be sent through to us.
