Seniors Fish Experience Wins Best North West Fish and Chip Shop

Its official - Seniors Thornton has been announced as the top chippie in the North West!

The top ten fish and chip shops from across the UK have been announced as part of the National Fish & Chip Shop of the Year competition 2007, run by industry body Seafish.


Seniors has been established for many years and has been run by the dedicated and devoted Horabin family for the last 6 years. Alastair Horabin - General Manager of the Seniors Thornton Fish and Chip Restaurant and Takeaway was shortlisted as a finalist of Young Frier of the Year 2007 and is now thrilled to be making his way to London for the final.

The competition this year has been judged in a new way and areas for consideration such as innovation, commitment to building a healthy and viable future for the industry, as well as ensuring the highest standards of product quality, service and cleanliness. The ten regional finalists will now undergo another round of judging before the deciding on the eventual winner at a prestigious event in London on the 23rd January 2008.
