As a result of this win, Garstang will automatically go forward to represent the region in the National Market Town Award Finals in October.
Angela Kershaw of the Garstang MTI said: "Winning this award will give our market town national publicity and also supports what the event was highlighting, which is the promotion of local produce, buying locally and supporting the local economy. We would again like to thank all the people who helped us on `Hotpot Day` and hope to return from the final not just regional winners, but national winners."
