Port of Lancaster SmokehouseAt the heart of each fine restaurant in the district, is of course the great local produce on offer here, providing the best 'on your doorstep' ingredients.

The River Lune yields tasty wild salmon, some of which is smoked locally at the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse. It has collected numerous awards in recognition of its superior grade smoked salmon, superior smoked hams, bacon, cheese, duck breast, trout, chicken and game.

Best beef, lamb and pork is produced throughout the Lune Valley at award winning farms and farmers from the Forest of Bowland work together under the "Bowland Forest" brand.
