No dinner without Salt!

Simon SaltLancashire Hot Shots returns to 2008 with the current LETS Awards Lancashire Young Chef winner Simon Salt.

Simon, who is currently employed at Nigel Smiths Restaurant, Ribby Hall Village as the Sous Chef is currently enjoying a range of media and promotional activities.

Simon studied at Accrington and Rossendale College where he completed his NVQ's upto Level 2. He has since worked at several prestigious establishments including Northcote Manor and Stanley House before joining Nigel Smiths team just over two years ago.

Simon says he can't pinpoint exactly what caused his love affair with food but knows it stems from an early age and has fuelled his interest in cooking. His favourite chef is Gordon Ramsay and Simon has just completed a weeks work experience at Gordon Ramsay's Royal Hospital Road Restaurant. This was brought about by Simon getting to the Final of the Gordon Ramsay Scholarship early this year. It was his chance to experience a three Michelin star kitchen first hand.

Simon's menu has been inspired by 'good Lancashire produce from local suppliers' which is just one of the reasons the restaurant has been awarded the Highest Quality Taste Lancashire accreditation.

Simon will be cooking his menu on Thursday 27th March priced £15 per person. To book call the restaurant direct on 01772 671155.
