Lancashire Market Menu 2008

Local restaurant Kwizeen have put together a fantastic Lancashire Market Menu available Monday-Saturday 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

All produce on the Lancashire Market Menu is locally sourced from local produce.

Heathcote's cookery school 2008

The Longridge cookery school, established in 1991, has over 20 dates throughout the year to choose from; from simple three course diners to specialised game and fish days, as well as creating sauces and desserts that feature on The Longridge Restaurant's menu.

The Ship Inn Beer Festival - 23rd - 25th August 2008

This 200 year old pub in an attractive canalside position used to serve the canal traffic and now caters for anyone who enjoys good beer and food.

Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food & Culture - 18th Aug - 7th Sept

A colourful carnival featuring the finest food and drink from Lancashire's green and plentiful larder.
Incredibly unique programme ranges through traditional Farmer's Markets and Celebrity Chef Events to Gourmet Ghostwalks, Medieval Banquets, Fungi Hunts, Musical Suppers, Ale Trails and Brewery Tours.
Not forgetting the famous World Gravy Wrestling Championships.

Producers Month - October

At this is the time of year, when all the crops have been harvested, a wonderous variety of Lancashire produce will be available.
So take the opportunity to meet our local food producers at one of our many Farmers' and Produce markets across Lancashire and discover why Lancashire has such great reputation for quality food and drink.

British Food Fortnight - 20th September - 5th October 2008

Since its launch, the event has quickly become the definitive national celebration of our regional foods and drinks, and the health benefits and pleasures of eating quality, fresh, seasonal and regionally distinct produce.

Garstang and Bowland Banquet - October 2008

A week long food and drink extravaganza. Some of the events include cheese making demonstrations from local producers, farm tours and visits, a beer festival, taster sessions, wine tasting and talks from local producers.

A celebration of all things Lancashire with many food and drink events.
Lancashire Day allows us the opportunity to declare that we are proud to be Lancastrians.
