New Year is a time for a fresh start for many, and what better way to celebrate than with a break in Lancashire’s beautiful countryside?

How many times did you hear the phase “It’s like Blackpool Illuminations in here!” when you were younger and had left the lights on all round the house? Well, winter is the best time to really see those illuminations shine.

Whether you have just been for an autumnal walk in the countryside or are looking for a warm spot to relax in while you let someone else do the cooking; these fantastic pubs with fires in Lancashire should be on your to-visit list.

The leaves are starting to change colour yet, here in Lancashire, we are still being blessed with beautiful blue skies and warmer days, making it the perfect time to book a short break.

This weekend Visit Lancashire will be attending the National Festival of Making in Blackburn, where will be showcasing a range of delicious food and drink providers in our Taste Lancashire tent.

With a massive 137 miles of coast to enjoy in Lancashire, it’s no wonder that so many people come to the region in search of some seaside fun.

This week we celebrated National Farm Animals Day by collating videos of some of Lancashire’s cutest farmyard residents, from piglets to lambs, buffalo to goats.
