Singleton's Beacon Fell Lancashire Cheese has a much coveted Protection of Designated Origin status, ensuring the cheese can only come from within a five mile radius of Beacon fell. Strict rules say that the milk must come from within this area and the traditional two and three days curd method is property of this local farming community.
