Lancaster Canal

Leeds and Liverpool Canal
This is the longest canal in Britain built as a single waterway - yet one of the least busy. It meanders across rural Lancashire through a succession of swing bridges and staircase locks, including the award winning Greenberfield Locks. In West Lancashire the canal travels through picturesque villages such as Newburgh and Parbold.
