Chester Cathedral Falconry
Visit the beautiful cathedral gardens, book onto one of the bird experiences and you will receive a hands-on introduction to the spectacular birds of prey who live there. Includes handling a golden eagle, flying a hawk and meeting the owls, right up close.
From daily flying displays to children’s nature trails and a look at the other wildlife in the centre, there is plenty to keep all of the family entertained.

Prepare to be amazed as you put on the gauntlet and get hands on with magnificent birds of prey in a range of truly incredible flying experiences led by an expert falconry team. From taster sessions to full day experiences available.

WWT Martin Mere, Lancashire
Visit an internationally important wetland nature reserve. Rare and endangered water-birds can be hand-fed at the centre which is a magnet for thousands of wild ducks, geese and swans in the winter. There is a full programme of guided walks and talks throughout the year and between March – October visitors can board a canoe and take a 30 minute expert guided tour of the wetlands.

The Bee Centre, Lancashire
Lasting around 90 minutes, take a Honeybee Experience where you will learn about the honeybee and beekeeping techniques from an experienced beekeeper before stepping into a beekeeping suit to get up close and personal with the bees as the hive is opened. See the bees bringing nectar and pollen back to the hive, making honey, building honeycomb and doing their ‘waggle dance’.
