King George’s Hall is one of the most versatile venues in the north west and provides the perfect seeing for your wedding, promising to make your special day unforgettable and unique.
The stunning Grade II listed building in the heart of Blackburn’s town centre is easily accessible and with its Georgian style entrance, art deco architectural interior and original Italian marble terrazzo floor, it is guaranteed to impress.
If you’re looking for a large space, the Concert Hall can cater for up to 1800 guests. Smaller rooms suitable for between 10 – 200 guests or 200 – 500 guests are also available. Each of the packages can be tailored to your individual requirements.
You have the opportunity to host your wedding reception at the same venue where famous bands such as The Beatles, David Bowie, Stereophonics, Queen, Manic Street Preachers, Status Quo and Level 42 have performed.
The Concert Hall
King George’s Concert Hall is an impressive venue that can comfortably accommodate up to 500 guests seated for a formal dinner, with a spectacular grand balcony for a further 800 guests.
It boasts a remarkable stage area for a live entertainment performance or a DJ. With unrivalled acoustics, the Concert Hall will provide your special day with an atmosphere that you and your guests with never forget.
Windsor Suite
The Windsor Suite is located below the Northgate Wedding room, belonging to the Registrar’s Office, and is therefore an ideal venue for weddings with up to 250 guests seated for a formal dinner, and a further 250 guests for an evening reception.
Having recently been refurbished, the Windsor Suite is perfect for your opulent celebration. The venue features a low stage that will create an intimate evening’s entertainment experience and the expansive dance floor for your guests to dance the night away.
Blakeys Suite
Blakeys Suite is the ideal venue for intimate wedding receptions of up to 120 guests seated for a formal dinner and up to 300 guests at an evening reception.
The elegant ambience can be enhanced by a live act of your choice on the purpose built stage. This generates an incredible party atmosphere that can continue late into the night, or the early morning.
Photographs
Corporation Park is ideally located just a few minutes’ walk away from King George’s Hall and is the perfect backdrop for your outdoor photographs. The traditionally landscaped park with Grade II listing has an array of architectural features including a triumphal archway, ornamental fountains and a stunning Victorian cast iron conservatory.
