Moss Wood Caravan Park

Situated on a coastal plain, just six miles from the historic city of Lancaster and overlooking the picturesque Bowland Fells, Moss Wood enjoys the best of both worlds. The sweeping views across the Fylde coast give rise to spectacular sunsets creating a perfect finish to sun soaked days.

It’s often said that the picturesque countryside just south of Lancaster is one of northern England’s best-kept secrets. And right in its heart is a park which matches the beautiful surroundings with a high-quality environment of its own, and an award-winning commitment to protecting the natural world.

Moss Wood is a fabulous family run caravan park for holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes, nestled in a tree lined vale near the ancient village of Cockerham, and provides easy access to walks on the coastal path and nearby Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ideally situated, the park can be easily reached within ten minutes of the M6 motorway, making it accessible for North West towns and cities. There are plenty of days out opportunities too, with Lancaster, Garstang and Scorton only minutes away, whilst the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland are all less than an hour away.

Covering some 30 acres, Moss Wood is bounded by mature trees with a number of impressive specimens dotted around the park. There’s the woodland path to explore, and delightful features such as the well-stocked fishing lake, ideal for anglers or simply as a place of quiet repose.

The shop provides both day-to-day needs and a selection of regional food specialties. There is the adventure playground to keep their young guests entertained, whilst the large recreational field is ideal for walking, playing ball games, or simply sitting and admiring the array of wild flowers and butterflies.
