Join their tour guides as they educate and entertain you on your journey whilst revealing the secrets behind their award-winning brewing process.They will give you insights into original and new equipment as you submerge yourself in almost 180 years of brewing excellence and discover the heritage of this proudly independent family brewery.
As you journey through the brew house, you’ll learn:
•How ingredients are selected to produce the distinctive tastes and aromas of the ales
•The science & technical information behind the brewing process
•What makes the hopnik and cereal cooker so special and why it’s so important in brewing award winning beer.
You may also get chance to meet Hopnik, Wizard and Bobek, the brewery’s fabulous Shire horses...or you can use the interactive screens... buy beer-related gifts from our shop... and discover some real vintage gems showing how things have changed since 1838.
You can even round off your visit with a delicious homemade lunch. Visitors are advised to pre-book to make sure you enjoy everything.The Brewery Tour takes about one hour and includes three 1/3 pint samples of our beers.
If you really are an ale aficionado, you can buy a ‘golden ticket’, which not only includes the Tour, but also your choice from one of four gift sets, plus two pints (or six 1/3 pints) of the delicious beers at the Unicorn Bar.
