Central to Lancaster's artistic, technical and scientific innovation for 130 years. The Storey Institute was remodelled in 2009 as a purpose designed centre for the creative industries, featuring art galleries, auditoria and guest exhibitions.
The building is open to the public to visit the Information Centre;eat and drink at the café bar and restaurant; and visit the exhibitions, many of which are free.

The core opening hours are 8.30am - 9pm, Monday - Friday & 9am - 9pm on Saturday

Morecambe, Lancaster and the Lune Valley is located in Lancashire, in the Northwest of England. Exit the M6 Motorway at Junction 34 and follow signs for Lancaster. Join the one way system (Caton Road) and pass small retail park on left on approach to traffic lights. Turn left following signs for Lancaster City Centre. Continue around the one way system making sure you are in the left hand lane going down King Street and turn left at Waterstone`s Bookshop. The Storey Centre is 50m ahead.
The nearest railway station is Lancaster which is only a 5 minute walk from Lancaster Visitor Information Centre, just outside the city centre. The station is on the West Coast Mainline with regular mainline Virgin services to London and South and Glasgow and North. Local services include a regular service to Morecambe. The nearest bus station is Lancaster which is less than a 5 minute walk from the central pedestrianised shopping area at Darnside Street/Chapel Street.
