Towneley Park
The parkland contains many beautiful trees and shrubs as well as a traditional Victorian flower garden. The surrounding woodland has nature trails marked through them and you will be able to find the many outdoor woodland sculptures as you walk around. These fascinating sculptures are hewn from the trees and range from a giant magpie to a crocodile emerging from its watery home, from the green man to an enormous cricket. A range of interesting guided walks and rambles around Towneley Park takes place throughout the year organised by Burnley Ranger Service.
For further details please telephone 01282 831053

There is also a nature centre and aquarium in the park as well as the Museum of Local Crafts and Industries, tennis courts, a bowling green, playing fields, pitch and putt and children’s play area. For golfers an 18 hole golf course and a 9 hole golf course complete the facilities.
