Bonfire Night at Brockholes

Wildlife friendly bonfire night at Brockholes (no fireworks).

Join a unique and magical bonfire night celebration at Brockholes Nature Reserve.  This wildlife-friendly event is specially designed for families with young children.  Your ticket includes free parking and access to a wide range of activities, with no hidden costs.  Each person receives three game/activity tickets included in the price, ensuring a fun and affordable evening for the whole family.

Perfect for little ones who love nature but may not enjoy the usual noisy festivities.  No fireworks and no loud rides.  Just plenty of eco-friendly activities in a peaceful, natural setting.

Enjoy a variety of live indoor entertainment, including:
Kids magic show (18:00).
Animal balloon making (18:30).
Punch and Judy Show (19:00).
Bonfire lighting (19:30).

As you arrive, step through the illuminated drawbridge Light Tunnel, perfect for capturing family photos.  Each ticket includes three game/activity tickets per person. So, for example, if two adults and two children attend, you'll receive a generous 12 tickets to use.  These tickets grant access to fun games and activities, such as hook-a-duck (prize every time), coconut shy, Nerf shooting range, and tin can alley.  You can also use them at the face painting and crafting tables for some creative fun.  In addition to the games, enjoy an indoor bouncy castle and tots soft play area, which you can access free of charge.  Throughout the event, enjoy live kids' entertainment, including Punch and Judy shows, magic acts, and balloon animal making.  The café will be open throughout the evening, offering a variety of hot and cold foods to suit all dietary preferences.

The bonfire is thoughtfully constructed by the conservation team using eco-friendly materials, sourced from on-site habitat management.  While sensibly sized to protect wildlife, it will still offer the warmth and beauty of a traditional bonfire.  Set on a strip of land extending into the lake, the bonfire will be visible from the floating village, creating a magical atmosphere.  The fire will be responsibly lit after a thorough wildlife inspection, ensuring a safe and unique experience for all.  This isn’t just any bonfire night.  It’s an evening that puts wildlife and conservation first.  Every element is designed with sustainability in mind.  It’s also perfect for younger children and those with sensory sensitivities, offering a relaxing and fun-filled evening without loud noises.
