Brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane formed Hue and Cry in the 80s and the duo made a huge impact with the release of their debut album Seduced and Abandoned (1987), which featured their first top ten single Labour of Love.
A number of successful album releases and accompanying live appearances followed, which included OpenSoul (2008), Xmasday (2009), Bitter Suite Again (2010), Hot Wire (2012), Remote: Major to Minor (2014), September Songs (2015), Pocketful of Stones (2017).
To date, Hue and Cry have sold in excess of two million records worldwide.

Darwen Library Theatre is situated in Darwen town centre on the junction between School Street and Knott Street. From M65, approach along the main road into Darwen, turning left into Union Street, then right into Knott Street. From Bolton, approach along main road into Darwen town centre, turn right along Church Street past Darwen Bus Station, follow the road round toward Railway Road, and turn left onto School Street.
There are regular buses between Blackburn, Bolton and Darwen and the nearest railway sation, Darwen.
