This workshop is a great introduction to the joys of printmaking. You don't have to be good at drawing or an experienced artist to get the printmaking bug. Enjoy a relaxing day of creativity as artist and printmaker Julia Swarbrick takes you through the processes step by step with plenty of space for creative invention. In the morning you will begin by experimenting with monoprinting which is a great place to start . You will be using a mark making techniques alongside precut stencils, leaves, textiles and found objects. This session will also introduce the etching press.
In the afternoon you will explore relief printmaking with Lino, vinyl and recycled materials. You make your own set of three relief stamps which you can incorporate into your monoprints or use on there own. You will take home a box full of prints and a set of stamps that you can use again and again. Great for Christmas cards and gift ideas.
