Join us in a short ride on a Santa Special steam train to Toyland, and meet Father Christmas! All children receive a present from Santa, and adults can enjoy mulled wine and a mince pie.
How it works (based on current Covid-19 guidance)
You book tickets for a whole compartment using the link above. There is room for up to seven people in each compartment.
On the day, platform staff will check your tickets and allocate each family to their compartment. Children will receive balloons and sweets.
The steam train then takes you the short distance (about 400m) from the main station at Becconsall to Toyland.
Each compartment in turn meets Santa, and each child receives a present from Santa.
Then it's back to Becconsall on the train for mince pies and mulled wine in our new tea-room. Tea and coffee are also available, and our famous burger van will be in operation.
On arrival back at Becconsall you can have a family photo in front of your engine - one of our friendly Elves can do this for you.
If you wish to enter the station shop please wear a mask - we can provide these if necessary. Only one family in the shop at a time please.
Each coach will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between trains. Please help us by maintaining social distancing, following the signs for the one-way system and using the hand-sanitiser stations.
Note that this is an open-air event, with open-sided coaches, so wrap up warm!
