At the heart of Lancashire’s Fylde countryside, the riverside location of The Cartford Inn boasts spectacular views of the peaceful riverscape and the dramatic Bowland fells beyond. Once a coaching inn at the historic crossing of the River Wyre, the 17th century inn is now a multi award-winning gastropub and hotel with 15 luxury bedrooms.
Inside, enjoy some of the region’s best food and drink in one of the uniquely styled dining areas. The Cartford Inn is noted for its individuality and contemporary rural-chic style. The bar alcoves and fireside areas allow for relaxed, informal dining experiences, whilst the River Lounge restaurant features panoramic views of the countryside. On Summer evenings these views can be enjoyed outside, whilst eating or drinking on the newly landscaped al-fresco dining terrace.
The menu showcases the best produce from across Lancashire, including meat from nearby farms and fish landed at Fleetwood docks. Ingredients are prepared skilfully and sensitively to create favourite British dishes along with more adventurous cooking. A proprietary French influence is also noticeable.
Visitors to The Cartford Inn can take a taste of the inn home as a new delicatessen ‘TOTI’ (standing for Taste of the Inn) has opened on-site. Here you will find quality deli produce, speciality ingredients and a range of their own-made foods, artisan breads, freshly baked cakes and pastries to take away.
The Cartford Inn has also received The Good Pub Guide Award.
