The Royal at Heysham

The Royal at Heysham is a 16th-century inn at the heart of a small coastal fishing village, perfectly located on the edge of Morecombe Bay. Settle into the quiet village setting and take in spectacular sweeping landscapes with a visit to St Patrick’s Chapel, walk and cycle the impressive coastal routes or head over to the Isle of Man for the day.

Original features have been painstakingly restored and parts of the building put back into use as part of a multi-million pound transformation. The result is a stunning bar, dining and large garden areas, along with 11 guest rooms.

There’s an extensive menu and, of course, great real ales as you’d come to expect from Thwaites. It’s the perfect stop-off if you’re exploring the bay area, whether for a quick drink, a tasty meal or as part of a longer stay.

Food served 12-9pm daily.
