Lancaster's Charter Market is a traditional street market which can be found in the shadow of many of Lancaster's interesting and historic buildings. The market is held every Wednesday and Saturday and features a wide range of stalls including:

Fish, deli stall, herbs and spices, preserves and conserves.
Home-made cakes and breads.
Confectionery.
Flowers, plants and shrubs.
Hand-crafted and fashion jewellery and accessories (bags, scarves, hats).

Hand-made pottery and ceramics.
Craft supplies and stationery.
Hand-made and fair-trade crafted items.
Pet supplies.
Militaria and curios.
Clothing including alternative and gothic.
Bedding and textiles.
and a wide range of stalls selling hot and cold snacks including Indian, Moroccan, Italian, vegetarian, hog-roast, soups, pasties and pies, speciality sausages, donuts, and ice cream in the summer.
