Welcome to our annual "Barlick Beach"
It's three years since we last had a beach in Barlick, and we're really looking forward to the return of the sand and seaside feel that it brings.
It's fourteen years since we held the first beach in Barnoldswick. Over the years, the event has grown from lasting just a week to a month full of family-friendly activities in the heart of the town.
This year, the official opening of the Beach will be on 1st August with sand and activities on a daily basis through to 27th August.
With the Town Square's popular new vibe as a food court, there are some changes to the layout and operation of the Beach this year.
There'll be more tables and chairs, with a greater alfresco feel (although there'll still be some covered space), and the sand will be open access, without a constant volunteer presence.
The Beach will see the return of donkeys and surfing, together with lots of new activities for the whole family.
We look forward to seeing visitors new and old visiting Barnoldswick's favourite free family summer attraction!
