Christmas at the Castle

The Castle has been closed since January and will reopen to the general public in November. So our Christmas market will be the first event held here since the refurbishment and a fabulous opportunity for people to visit.

Lancastrians and visitors to the city are invited to come and celebrate 'Christmas at the Castle' this December with a festive fayre for all the family.

The Christmas at the Castle market and courtyards will be FREE to Enter and open daily between 10.30am to 5.00pm.

CHRISTMAS MARKET:
Visit 40 stalls from local and regional artisans and makers, and find the perfect gifts for Christmas. Stalls including handmade gifts and jewellery, wood crafts, aromatic candles, natural beauty products, photographic art and frames, artisan cheeses, chutneys and relishes, locally baked pies, traditional fudges and sweets, festive branded books, rare fine wines and specialist liqueurs and spirits.

A wide selection of hot and cold food stalls are also open, including handmade cupcakes and mellow marshmallows, hog roast, artisan coffee, breads and bakes, crepes and waffles.

FESTIVE STAGE PROGRAMME:
Festive music will be playing all day, including sets by bell-ringers, Victorian carol-singers, brass bands, school bands, jazz pianists and a carnival street bands. Everything you need to get you into the festive mood and full of Christmas cheer!
