Are you brave enough to explore the interactive trail? Discover an eek!citing and mysterious world of wetland nature this October half term. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears pricked and engage all your senses as you make your way around the wetlands for a truly eek!citing experience.
Put your spookometer to the test with the interactive activities. Will you dare to put your hand in a snake box, grab a photo op with a bat or get up close and personal with a toad? It’s a weirdly wild day out for the whole family.
Activities available:
Pumpkin carving: put your carving skills and creativity to the test with the pumpkin carving sessions.
Arts and crafts: are you ready for some Halloween-themed arts and crafts? Join in in the craft room. The easels will be set up in the Lecture Theatre to let your creativity run wild.
Interactive trail: brave the interactive trail. Identify the scary screams of animals and see if you can guess the creatures inside our mystery boxes.
Canoe Scarefari: set sail on the canoe scarefari for some spine-chilling surprises.

Follow A59 towards Preston. Through Burscough Village turn left immediately after the railway bridge onto Red Cat Lane. Follow for one mile, Martin Mere is on left.
Nearest railway station is Burscough Bridge station. Martin Mere is 1.5 miles from station. Signposted walk, approximately 30 mins, or can get taxi from Burscough Village. Cyclists are always welcome at Martin Mere.
The centre is signposted from Junction 8, M61, Junction 3 on M58 and Junction 27 on M6.
