Enjoy a foray around the reserve, as you hunt for marvellous mushrooms. There will be a number of walks taking place throughout the day, lead by the fabulous North West Fungus Group.
Mere Sands Wood is one of the most spectacular locations in Lancashire for finding fungi, throughout autumn and winter fly agaric, earthballs and common stinkhorn appear across the reserve.
The North West Fungus Group (NWFG) have offered to share their knowledge on the day. There will be real life mycologists, fungi displays and activities taking place throughout the day alongside fungi forays. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Pleasea arrive dressed for the weather with suitable footwear.
