Gawthorpe Hall is open for free to all visitors for Saturday 14th September for Heritage Open Days. Enjoy the historic Victorian rooms, the fabulous portraits from the National Portrait Gallery, stunning textiles from Gawthorpe Textiles Collection and get a look at the servants' side of the Hall. Use the spiral staircase to pass from the stately family rooms to the Victorian kitchen where you can meet the housekeeper. Room stewards available to answer your questions about the Hall and the Kay-Shuttleworth family.
1-4pm Meet the Housekeeper in the Victorian Kitchen to see how the servants lived and worked at the Hall. 1pm free Guided Walk to All Saints Church, Habergham, led by the National Trust Ranger, with an opportunity to see inside the church and find out more about its connections to Gawthorpe Hall.
Plus throughout the afternoon we have a free vintage bus running between Padiham town centre and Gawthorpe Hall, you can take a trip back in time on an original Burnley, Colne and Nelson Transport bus.
