Starring Blue Peter presenter, magician and TikTok sensation, Joel M. Step into a winter wonderland and let the magic unfold as KD Theatre Productions (the team behind last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk) return to The Atkinson this Christmas with the enchanting pantomime Sleeping Beauty. This traditional family panto will captivate audiences of all ages. Oh yes it will.
Joel M will bring his distinctive style of magic and his engaging stage presence to the role of Presto the Court Jester. Joel will be joined by an impressive cast, including Terry Burns who was a hit with the Southport crowd last Christmas when he played Dame Trott in Jack and the Beanstalk. Samantha Richards, fresh from the Zog and the Flying Doctors UK tour, will play Princess Beauty. The side-splitting James Stirling steps into the role of The King and the devilishly brilliant Coral Mourant will play the villain, Carabosse.
In the kingdom of ‘Southportopia’ far, far away, a beautiful princess awaits her true love’s kiss to awaken her from a deep slumber. But beware, the wicked fairy Carabosse has cast a spell, and only the bravest heroes can break it. Will the valiant prince triumph over evil and save the day? Get ready to boo, hiss, and cheer as this talented cast takes you on a magical ride through panto land. With spectacular costumes and scenery, toe-tapping tunes, and plenty of surprises along the way, this is one pantomime you won’t want to miss.
