One of the biggest miscarriages of justice in British legal history took place at Lancaster Castle. The bombings by the IRA in two Birmingham pubs in November 1974 killed 21 people and injured 182. Six men from Northern Ireland were held, tried and wrongfully convicted in Lancaster. Their eventual release took 16 years of campaigning. Dr Colin Penny reveals more of the facts of the case, their time at Lancaster and the evidence that freed them.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Judges Lodgings Museum.
