Iconic mills, rolling hills and a national landscape that rivals the beauty of the Lake District means that East Lancashire and the Ribble Valley are often used to showcase the quintessential British countryside on our tv and cinema screens. Many great movies and shows have been filmed in the area, so why not jump in the car and find see some of the onscreen treasures for yourself.

It’s Pride Month, and as a county, Lancashire is ready to celebrate.

Pride Month takes place each June due to the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots which took place in New York, 55 years ago. The events and parades that take place to celebrate Pride are open to all LGBTQ+ community members and their allies as a celebration of love, acceptance and solidarity.

Alongside the picturesque landscapes, historic charm and warm welcome you find in Lancashire, there is a growing range of fantastic eco-friendly options for those looking to getaway in a more earth friendly way.

Morecambe has risen to TV fame over the last few years thanks to the ever-increasing popularity of hit ITV show, The Bay. But it’s not the only location in the area to have had it’s time on TV and cinema screens.
