Blackpool Pleasure Beach is providing the ultimate thrill this Halloween, with a frighteningly good drive-in cinema alongside a programme of fang-tastic events and activities.

The notorious Scream Screen will run for five nights, showing five horror classics at the popular amusement park. Guests are invited to enjoy the thrills, spills and screams, all from the comfort of their own car.

Visitors are advised to keep their wits about them and car doors locked, as Scream Screen promises to be the ultimate immersive experience. Classic cinema snacks including popcorn and hotdogs will be available. With family friendly screenings also planned and priced at just £18 per car, guests are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot.

A full list of films and timings can be found below:

  • 26th October – Scream (1996, over 18’s)

The famous Circus of Horrors will also return this month, in the Globe Theatre. Featuring bizarre, weird and wonderful acts, the show is notorious for blending horror with an original rock n roll soundtrack and daring circus acts.

Making its return on the 27th October, the show will run until 31st October and promises to have viewers on the edge of their seat, when not falling off from laughter. An Addams Family Friendly matinee will also show from the 28th each day at 4pm, which children are able to attend and enjoy.

As well as the spooky shows and screenings, Blackpool Pleasure Beach will host two Late Night Riding events on Saturday 24th and Saturday 31st October, allowing guests to ride into the night and enjoy even more Halloween surprises. Those who dare can ride ICON, the UK’s first double launch rollercoaster or take in the high-speed drops and breath-taking views of the Big One. The twists and turns of Infusion also guarantee to get hearts racing.

With shocks around every corner, Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s own ghosts and ghouls will be out to give visitors the ultimate scare every day starting this week. From a giant werewolf roaming the park to the fearful fun of Pasaje del Terror, guests should be ready for the ultimate thrill.

Pumpkin carving will be available on-park for little ones to join in on the Halloween fun and the whole family can enjoy a fright on the original Ghost Train, as it celebrates its 90th birthday.  Further information on tickets, shows and on-park Halloween activity can be found here.
