Just because we're in lockdown it does not mean you can't do your Christmas shopping as well as support some fab local businesses!

Katie Bird from Canary North Creative and Lydia Kate from Bosty Bakes are holding a Lancashire based Virtual Christmas Market event and fab raffle this weekend over on their Facebook group!

We already have some amazing local businesses involved. From bakeries, to beauticians, to gift shops and bespoke illustrators - all selling fab gift ideas for your loved ones this Christmas!

It’s now more important than ever to help support our local community by shopping with local small businesses - with all our proceeds from the stall holders fees and raffle tickets going towards the amazing charity Age UK Lancashire.

We have chosen Age UK Lancashire as our charity, who have really struggled for donations throughout Covid. But have still diversified their services throughout the pandemic providing a hospital after care service, a good day phone call service, home help scheme and a 'supporting the local community' service. This charity has worked tirelessly throughout COVID in assisting the elderly community with getting home from hospital and providing them with support once home.

This event is all about local, small businesses coming together to sell their products and raise money for a good cause. Due to COVID restrictions it is not possible to run this event face to face, so we have been asking for a donation from each business who wishes to purchase a stall slot of just £10. This money will go directly into our pot for Age UK Lancashire.

In addition to the market, we will also be running a raffle throughout the weekend at just £2 a ticket, or £10 for 10 tickets, with all proceeds going towards Age UK Lancashire. Our fab stallholders will all be donating a prize, as well as some lovely local shops and businesses. We already have some amazing prizes to be won, from beauty hampers, to shopping vouchers, family photoshoots and bespoke Christmas gifts!

If you're interested in getting a stall - drop a message to Katie or Lydia (the group admins) and we'd be happy to help! It's just £10 for the weekend, with all proceeds from this and our raffle going straight to Age UK Lancs!
