Highest Point has announced today that The Big Family Day out is back for its third year at the festival in September, with festival style activities designed for kids of all ages.
The event this year is sponsored by Booths, and will take place on the final day of Highest Point festival on Sunday 5th September.
The Big Family Day Out will be a day full of fun and laughter, and included within the ticket there will be a huge number of free events and activities for the whole family to enjoy together. Once inside the event, guests will have access to live performances, an interactive theatre, DJ workshops, storytelling, bubble displays, tipi building, arts and crafts, face painting as well as entry to the butterfly house and mini zoo - all at no extra cost.
As well as the dedicated family activities, live music will continue on from the festival weekend on both the Main Stage and The Chris Glaba Memorial Stage for all the family to enjoy, with additional interactive activities spanning the whole of Williamson Park.
While tickets to the live music festival are almost sold out, tickets to The Big Family Day Out will be launched this Friday (30th July) at 10am. Kids under the age of 5 can attend for free, with tickets for children aged 6-17 just £10, and tickets for adults available for £15 per person. Guests wanting to attend the day can sign up here to be reminded when sales go live.

Highest Point Festival, which was originally meant to take place in May 2020, will now span over four days, from Thursday 2nd September until Sunday 5th September. The biggest open-air music festival in the region, Highest Point, sets to welcome 25,000 ticket holders to a fun-filled musical weekend, in the incredible setting of Williamson Park.
Guests can expect to see more than one hundred artists across six stages over the course of the weekend, plus a premier regional street food and craft beer offering on site.

Tickets to The Big Family Day Out are on sale from 10am on Friday 30th July and can be purchased from Skiddle here for £15 per adult, £10 per child (age 6-17), with kids under 5 going free.
There are still a few general release tickets available for Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the festival via Skiddle, although full weekend tickets have now sold out.
Festival organisers will be following any government guidance at the time of the festival. Full safety policies inline with any guidance will be available to view on the website closer to the festival date.
