George Orwell’s world-famous story has been re-imagined by an award-winning creative team and is heading to the Grand in Blackpool this week.

Animal Farm is a dynamic, daring and contemporary take on a timeless story. This brand-new production features puppetry by Toby Olie (War House) and four-time Oliver Award-winner Bunny Chrisite.

A story especially for Earth Day from Goofus Theatre. A 15-minute tale told with puppetry, shadow puppers and music – suitable for all audience. After the show you can get the opportunity to meet the puppets and actors and even try make your own shadow puppet with the activity team.

After two years, the Wray Scarecrow festival makes a return this weekend. The villagers of Wray are back to create some weird, wacky, and wonderful scarecrow creations to surprise and delight visitors.

Visitors can wander around Wray village and discover the host of scarecrows that have popped up in village gardens, peeking out of windows and perching on balconies.

George and The Dragon Family Fun Day, HAPPA, Shores Hey Farm, Burnley.

Head to HAPPA this weekend for a St George’s day family fun day. Keep an eye out for special appearances from Darkenvale’s Knights of the Round Table and a heroic HAPPA horse jumping display. Families can enjoy glitter tattoos, face painting, bouncy castle, tombola, hook a duck and much more! And of course the HAPPA horses will be available for pony grooming and pony riding sessions for all those ages four and over.
