The Sooty Show – Monday 1 April at 2.30pm

Izzy Wizzy, Let’s Get Busy! Sooty, Soo and Sweep are planning a very special birthday party and you’re all invited. My Beautiful Laundrette – Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 April at 7.30pm

This upliftingly powerful production of Hanif Kureishi’s iconic Oscar-nominated screenplay explores cultural conflict, gender equality, class and generational strife, all presented against a funky backdrop of 80s music with additional original music composed by the Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. Young British Pakistani, Omar, transforms his uncle’s run-down laundrette and falls in love with fascist gang member and school friend Johnny. Giovanni – Let Me Entertain You – Sunday 7 April at 5pm.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea – Tuesday 9 April at 1.30pm & 4.30pm and Wednesday 10 April at 11am & 2pm.

Adam Rowe: What’s Wrong With Me? – Friday 12 April at 7.30pm.

Global podcast sensation and exciting new comedian Adam Rowe is hitting the road with his brand new stand-up tour. The hilarious host of the international smash-hit podcast Have A Word & star of Live At The Apollo has spent a bit of time self- reflecting, and he’s come to the conclusion that there’s something wrong with him. Andy and The Odd Socks – The Are You Ready To Rock Tour - Saturday 13 April at 3pm

CBBC superstar Andy Day (Andy and the Band, Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures) is rocking straight off the TV and onto The Grand stage with his bandmates Moxy, Rio, Blu and Cousin Mac to bring their madcap mix of songs, slapstick and silliness to life. Northern Live – Do I Love You? - Sunday 14 April at 7.30pm

Keep the Faith to the original sounds of the underground movement that started on the dance floors in the North and eventually swept the Nation with the world’s greatest and most authentic touring Northern Soul Show live band show. An incredible 11-piece live band and four lead vocalists will perform over 30 original hits including Dobie Gray’s Out On The Floor, Frank Wilson’s Do I love You – Indeed I Do, Gloria Jones’ Tainted Love, Al Wilson’s The Snake, Jimmy Radcliffe’s Long After Tonight Is Over, Dean Parrish’s I’m On My Way and many, many more. NT Connections – Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 April at 6pm

Connections is the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival which commissions new plays for young people to perform and brings together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. This year Blackpool Grand will host six companies of young performers from local Schools and Youth Theatres who will perform six brand new plays across three evenings on the main stage.

Tuesday 16 April - Replica by Titas Halder performed by John Ruskin School and

Wednesday 17 April - The Periodicals by Siân Owen performed by St Aidan’s High School (Poulton-le-Fylde) and Orchestra by Charlie Josephine performed by Blackpool Grand Theatre’s own youth theatre, The Grand Young Company. All tickets £7 with senior and under 18 concessions.

Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book – Friday 19 April at 4.30pm, Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April at 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm

A charming new stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s much-loved tale. Charlie Cook loves reading. Especially books about pirates. But his sister hates it – it’s boring! Can Charlie convince her that reading is fun? Perhaps if she read a book about a pirate, who is reading a book about Goldilocks, who is reading a book about a knight… Charlie Cook’s favourite books are all beautifully brought to life with puppetry and enchanting songs.
