Saturday 1 June – Chorley Food and Drink Festival (formerly A Taste of Chorley)
11-4pm in Chorley Town Centre

Your favourite food festival with a twist, visitors can enjoy local and independent food traders and see heritage-style entertainment!

  • A brilliant mix of culinary delights and refreshing beverages from local and independent traders.
  • Brilliant heritage style entertainment with The Old Speckled Hen Morris dancers, singers and much more!
  • Fantastic demonstration kitchen including demonstrations from Bees Country Kitchen preparing their famous hotpot, as featured on the Food Network and Time for Mezze, where they showcase their fabulous Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Brilliant (but terrible?) performances from the famous Liver Cottage mobile kitchen with a demonstration like no other…
  • Free Chorley cakes*

Sunday 2 June – 100 Years of Astley Hall and Picnic in the Park
11-4pm in Astley Park

Bring your own picnic and get your fancy dress ready as we prepare to celebrate Astley through the eras with a day jam-packed with entertainment for all the family.

  • Heritage parade through Astley Park celebrating the last 100 years of Astley Hall from 11am
  • Heritage entertainment roaming throughout the park
  • Fairground rides**
  • Food and drink outlets*
  • Free vintage carnival games
  • Entertainment all day with performances from a spectacular Abba tribute, Planet Abba and Britain’s Got Talent’s, Steve Royle!
  • An exciting reveal of a new tree art installation in Astley Park

Councillor Peter Wilson, Deputy Leader of Chorley Council said, “What a weekend we have planned!

“This Weekend to Remember is a chance for us all to come together as a community and really celebrate the incredible place Chorley is.

“Our history and our people what makes Chorley special, and I cannot wait to see you all in the Town Centre and Astley Park on the first weekend of June.

“No tickets needed, and there are so many free things to do and entertainment to see for all the family.

“Let’s all come together, have fun and give Chorley the party it deserves!”
