There's lots going on at Blackpool Grand Theatre this August

The Haunting of Blaine Manor – Thursday 1 August to Saturday 3 August at 7.30pm.

Friday & Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Joe O’Byrne’s gripping Gothic horror tells the thrilling tale of renowned American parapsychologist Dr Roy Earle who is famous for discrediting hauntings and exposing fake mediums. He is invited to attend a seance in Blaine Manor, said to be the most haunted building in England, but his arrival awakens something horrific within the manor’s walls. As a raging storm closes them off from the outside world, Earle and his companions find what is waiting within the manor is not nearly as horrific as what has entered with him. Tickets £21.50. Carrie The Musical – Thursday 1 August at 7.30pm in The STUDIO Space.

Fylde Coast Youth Theatre bring the reworked and re-imagined stage version of Stephen King’s terrifying tale to The Grand. Carrie White is a misfit at school, an outcast who’s bullied by the popular crowd and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she’s at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother. But Carrie has just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it… Tickets £16. Lipstick On Your Collar – Sunday 4 August at 7.30pm

Step back in time to the golden era of music where the jukebox roared, and feet didn’t touch the floor. From the birth of Rock n Roll through to the Beat Group sounds of the British Invasion and beyond, this show is packed with over forty hits from the likes of Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Ronettes, Cilla Black and many more, all performed by a live band with an infectious sense of fun. Bugsy Malone The Musical – Thursday 15 August to Saturday 17 August at 7.30pm.

Theatre Heritage Tour – Grand Opulence – Tuesday 20 August & Wednesday 21 August at 11am & 12 noon.

An Evening with Jimmy Tarbuck – Friday 23 August at 7.30pm.

After more than 60 years at the very top of his profession Jimmy Tarbuck OBE relives many of the most iconic moments of a life on stage and screen as a comedian, singer, actor, entertainer and game show host. An Evening with Cheryl FergisonFriday 23 August at 7.30pm in The STUDIO Space.

Top TV star Cheryl Fergison switches Albert Square for Blackpool to share stories from her 35+ year career on stage and screen. After spending many years in London and playing the iconic character of Heather Trott in Eastenders, Cheryl uprooted herself and her love of Blackpool brought her to the North West where she has lived ever since. Cheryl Fergison will not only be sharing stories but will also be singing from her wide ranging repertoire and showing you film clips from some of her magical moments. Tickets £17.50. I LIKE IT – The Ultimate Tribute to Gerry Marsden and The Swinging 60sSaturday 24 August at 7.30pm.

Diane’s Deli – A Tale from Paradise HeightsSaturday 24 August & Monday 26 August at 7.30pm in The STUDIO Space.

Don’t miss this slice of suspense as part of the gripping Tales from Paradise Heights series from the award-winning writer/director Joe O’Byrne. Sean Ginty is a café owner who is a father figure to both his staff, and it seems to be a quiet idyllic existence for all.  But who is the mysterious Angel of The Heights, and more disturbingly – is something haunting the café?  When a woman turns up in the café late one night, a chain of events is set in motion that will have devastating effects on all their lives. ELO Again – Sunday 25 August at 7.30pm.

Joe Pasquale – The New Normal – Monday 26 August at 7.30pm.

Famous funny man and ITV’s I’m A Celebrity winner Joe Pasquale has been showing off on stage and screen for over 40 years and now he’s bringing his favourite things for another airing to show that things have never been normal… If you have ever wondered why chicken breasts don’t have nipples? Charlie and The Chocolate Factory – Thursday 29 August to Sunday 1 September at 7.30pm.
