The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston is teaming up with Lytham International Film Festival to launch a new season of independent film nights.

It’s a chance for Preston cinemagoers to enjoy a wonderfully varied selection of the best short films from around the world.

Taking place on the last Tuesday of each month, audiences can watch a 90-minute screening of trailblazing cinema followed by an exclusive Q&A with an industry professional. The first event will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday January 28th.

Lytham International Film Festival’s Ed Greenberg says: “This is a fantastic event for anyone with a love of great storytelling. These films have all been recognised at global festivals and have helped progress and launch the careers of top talent in the industry. We are also particularly keen to support and promote local film makers and creatives.”

Tickets to each event cost £12 and visitors can also enjoy a special offer of a hot drink and cake for just £5 from Oasis Café Bar.

The Flower Bowl’s cinema manager Sarah Miller says: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Lytham International Film Festival to offer audiences the chance to experience film making at its finest on the big screen. It's a unique opportunity as these films generally aren't on public release or available to a wide audience.”

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre is home to a three-screen boutique cinema. With sofa-style seating, ambient lighting and a relaxed atmosphere, it offers an elevated movie-going experience. Drinks from the bar and food from Oasis café are available to accompany each screening.
