31^st Jan- 2^nd February - UK Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival

3 days, 4 stages and over 40 acts Aynsley Lister, Dom Martin & Band, King King and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown will take you through an amazing journey of Blues, Rhythm and Rock.

1st February – The Music of Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight

Featuring a cast of West End Singers and a live band, join us for a ‘landslide’ concert, jam-packed with Fleetwood Mac hits as you have never heard them before!

This incredible show will feature best loved songs including ‘Little Lies’, ‘The Chain’, ‘Rhiannon’, ‘Don’t Stop’ and many more, performed at the beautiful Blackpool Opera House, by candlelight.

3^rd -6^th February - Schools Alive 

Schools Alive 2025 includes 39 performances from ensembles and schools, celebrating live music-making in Blackpool and Lancashire presented by Blackpool Music Service and Friends of Blackpool Music Service Charity.

Each performance will enhance our appreciation of our children’s ability to perform music, drama and dance. Such performances will improve your child’s personal confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, support for each other and enjoyment of life.

Every school performance is prepared by creative, inspired schoolteachers, supportive parents and theatre-based support but it is our enthusiastic children who then provide us with a great week of entertainment.

5^th February – Bowling for Soup

Pop punk legends, the Grammy nominated Bowling For Soup are delighted to announce their February 2025 UK tour, celebrating 20 years of one of their most successful albums, the fantastic A Hangover You Don’t Deserve.

Aptly named ‘A Hangover You Don’t Deserve 20th Anniversary Tour’, Bowling For Soup will be playing the album in full, plus a host of other hits from their 30-year career. Having wowed enormous crowds once again with their first Download Festival performances since 2014, BFS are delighted to be planning a full tour in their home away from home here in the UK.

If that’s not enough exciting news, BFS are bringing Teenage Dirtbag creators Wheatus and rapidly rising Florida pop punk outfit Magnolia Park with them to make this the party of 
the year!

7th February - The Big Pants Party

The Big Pants party is the ultimate ladies night out, celebrating the iconic soundtrack of a lifetime of fun, love and friendship.

14-16^th February:       Blackpool Magic Convention

The Biggest Magic Festival in The World comes to Blackpool on the 14th, 15th and 16th of February, just three days before the start of Showzam.

BMC are opening their doors to the general public on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, where the public will be able to witness the magic themselves, watching some of the greatest magicians on the planet.

Friday Night sees the opening Friday Night Gala Show, starring magicians from Australia, Russia, France, Italy and the UK, where you’ll be scratching your head in disbelief.

Saturday Night sees Magic’s Biggest Competition ‘The One’, where someone will walk away with a first prize of £30,000! 
Imagine David Blaine and David Copperfield meets Britian’s Got Talent and you’re nearly there.

Watch this nail-biting show, as magicians from Russia, South Korea, Australia, UK and Germany, compete for magic’s biggest prize.

Sunday Night in The Opera House, sees Las Vegas Illusionist, Rick Thomas bring his entire show to the UK for the very first time! 

With a cast of his own dancers and crew, you’ll get this once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the greatest illusions in magic, performed before your very eyes, direct from the USA. Rick really is one of the best and you don’t want to miss this show.

19th February -Queen Extravaganza

Queen Extravaganza, the only official Queen tribute band, produced by Roger Taylor and Brian May, brings its own ‘kind of magic’ back into venues around the UK and Ireland in 2025 with a triumphant celebration of 50 years of Bohemian Rhapsody.

This spectacular 90-minute show features more than 20 fan favourites drawn from Queen’s biggest hits including We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and the phenomenal anthem Bohemian Rhapsody.

The band is selected from a pool of gifted musicians, all of whom have been hand-picked by Roger Taylor.  Queen Extravaganza has earned much love and respect from its devoted and ever-growing fan base, selling out shows across the globe.  “It’s a great show, designed to celebrate the legacy of Queen” says Roger Taylor.

21st February -Pretty Vacant

Pretty Vacant – The Story of Punk and New Wave

Not many musical explosions define a generation and change music forever. There was Rock and Roll in 1956, Beatlemania in 1963, Flower Power in 1967, The birth of Rock in 1970 and then there was… Punk and New Wave.

Between 1976 and 1979 the music world and popular culture was turned upside down as bands, musicians and fashion adopted a new and fresh ‘DIY’ approach to making music and expressing itself. From its birth in New York City to its adolescence in London and onto its maturity across the globe Punk and New Wave is most definitely the music that defined a generation.

For the first time all the hits, attitude and fashion are brought to the stage by this incredibly talented cast of musicians, singers and dancers that will take you on a rollercoaster ride you will never forget 

Kevin Kennedy, best known for his role as Curly Watts in Coronation Street and his stage career including, We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages on the West End, will be lending his extraordinary talents as narrator of the show. 

22nd February - Sausage and Cider Festival

The Sausage and Cider Festival returns to Blackpool on Saturday 22nd February 2025. Over 18s can enjoy over 25 cider flavours and 12 sausage varieties as they listen to Oasis and Queen tributes, then live bands and DJ sets.

22^nd February - The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight

26^th & 27^th February -Dance Live Senior Heats

Dance Live! the dance event for schools and colleges that is taking the country by storm is coming to the Winter Gardens Blackpool Opera.

Embracing an ever-evolving digital world and how this is changing the face of modern performance, Dance Live! sees pupils compete with choreographed routines to the backdrop of a giant digital screen, showcasing a range of skills from dance, performance and creative design to off-stage technical skills.

With a focus on raising aspirations and developing skills for creative career choices, Dance Live! also delivers a range of supportive workshop opportunities for schools.
